2018 is nearly over, and it has been an epic year in the gym. Some great achievements and developments in everyone. From Sarah's muscle up to Selina's power clean pb; we have celebrated PB's, smashed wods, piled in wods, and generally had a pretty good time.
2019 is set to be even better at CrossFit Rotherham. We want to make this an even better gym to train in, so we are looking at trialling different classes, getting involved in more competitions, and helping you become the best athlete you can be.
Currently we offer 3 additional programs on top of our usual CrossFit classes.
- Squat Program
- Push/Pull Program
The Squat, push/pull programs are enhancers to the daily classes. They will allow you to build strength in particular areas. Each is a 12 week program costing £15 a month. Speak to a coach for more details if you want to try one out. We have seen some fantastic strength results from the members who have tried them.
The Athlete program is a class we have people working to during Open Gym. It is based on the same programming that we apply to classes, but longer with more work outs and strength factions. It is aimed at individuals who can committ to training twice a day - which is why we don't use it in our regular CrossFit classes. If you have an hour a day to train, our daily CrossFit program will develop you, stretch you, and give you gains! If you want to increase your training, double up on sessions - get in touch and we can discuss the program in more detail.
In 2019, we will be launching a weightlifting program. This will include a 45 minute 1-2-1 session with a coach and a programme to follow in the gym. The main focus will be on improving technique and building skill; making you a better athlete.
Cost for this will be £40 a month.
Let's build some engines.
Starting January, we will be running two cardio classes at 8pm on a Monday and Thursday. No barbell, no technical moves, just heart racing, sweatfests. These will be open to non gym members as well, a great way for new people to try CrossFit without the technical skill section.
Basically, it would be wise to expect burpees.
Tuesday nights at 8pm, will be dedicated to those of you who want to compete. A new class with workouts for those who want to practise wodding at a more intense level, practising team transistions, and attacking the workouts.
Getting hints and tips on how to manage competition workouts better and maximise performance.
As always the workouts are scalable, but at these classes you want to be pushing yourself to the limit, and testing your team work.
Pt is aimed at anyone who prefers to train one on one, or who has specialised atheletic goals. Each of our coaches have areas of skill which can help you develop. Working with a personal trainer is one of the fastest, easiest, and most successful ways to reach your goals and imporve your overall fitness and health.
